Postage Due!!

Good gravy and all that is homely, Every other package that comes from traders on Ebay don't pay the full postage. Either the scales they use are off by oh, 2.50 and some odd cent's or the postal service is off a bit on the way they charge. I don't know which, the mail chick who brings up the postage due packages and letters is kinda' cute. She has a tattoo of Camacho on her ass, a tramp that was stamped and one of a flower on her shoulder. She say's she doesn't have a boyfriend just has the dad to her four kid's staying in a trailer in the back of her dad's house in Grandview. The nose piercing on her right nostril is cute ish, it makes the eye brow piercing not so obvious and a belly button ring. She is a friendly sort, comes I am sure with public dealing's it makes you more friendly, able to deal with all sorts of people even if you don't like them. I noticed that she drives an older jeep cherokee, she at one time drove a beat up old white subaru she must be moving up in the world, both sound like crap and are in need of maintenance, they rattle along like the typical high millage vehicle being very road weary, But day after day baring sunday's and holiday's the trusty beast's carry her and her and the other mail carriers to their appointed task. I was speaking with her one day and due to their bidding she doesn't get any medical benefits or retirement. she suffers from a brain tumor and cannot get insurance. She cannot take the medication they prescribe because than she would be under the influence. She has kids but they also are only covered by state insurances which is good but shouldn't the postal service be giving their employees health insurance? I would think so but like other big businesses the government is no different. The whole postal system is going down the tubes because of mismanagement you shouldn't rob from one government agency to fund another, but that is the norm for the U.S. I used to love to go out to the mail box to see the new treasures that the postal carrier would deliver. On some day's a box of laundry soap would arrive or the new issue of Boy's Life. I would make a card and send it to my grandma or great grandparents a short distance away. We would save the Kracker Jacks tops, cereal tops, maybe a wrapper from a lolly pop and get a prize when you mailed them in and waited for the reward for all those sugary treats you had eaten. We didn't eat a lot of sugar other than those that were homemade, cookies and fudge and an occasional pie lemon or apple, in July it would be fresh cherry from the tree's at Grandma's Burgens. When I got old enough I would pick those cherry's around the 4th and wait for the peaches, plums or in the fall apples. Those were the day's when it was good to raise your own foods but didn't appreciate it like I do today. The few tomato plants would give you a meal with a piece of cheese. Now being older I want to grow my own food to fill my belly the simple vegetables that will make a meal and if dried would last a few months after the growing season. One day not to distant in the future I will do what needs to be done and make it happen. I will not just be a dreamer but a doer.
