The whole thing should be easy

Can you believe it, I can't I should be able to shack up with some hot chick without a worry. Oh wait maybe not, Still looking for my portable home and there isn't a lot of time. I should put an add on a singles web site and whore myself out. Naw, can't do that I have lost most of my manly good looks that I never had to old age. With the advent of lasic surgery it takes most of the seniors widows out of the equation. I still am chuckling as I type but hey it's Sunday, warm and dammit I have been sober for too many years Have a great week

The day of kookin'

Today was cooking day, went through and made the Friendship bread I have been feeding for the past 10+ day's I lost count and forgot about the two day's for the weekend Saturday and Sunday. I whipped up one of many versions of Amish Friendship bread. This version didn't have pudding in it, good thing because I didn't have any instant pudding. I used up the cinnamon that had been in the tribal cupboard since 2006, A few eggs and the flour that has been in stock, The bread came out ok, I made it in a bunt cake pan, because duh I lost track of time and had wheat bread rising in the window in the only two bread pans that there are. I think the stock of Amish starter will be a great addition to the cupboard, This is the start of a weekend that could be fun if things can get put into motion. The Blues untapped concert are in the fairgrounds, Walla walla balloon stampeed, pasco farmers market could and should be a show to see. Will let you know.

Mini Van, cara van, out and?

Out and about should be what I am doing but ney, I am not. I am sitting in a chair with ass imprints in it. I made some cookies yesterday, not cookies as I posted but DOG biscuits. I thought they were good, hence I ate tooooo....many. I will not do that again or drink all 12 cups of coffee and the two left over from yesterday. Pssshhh...t who am I foolin' you know damn well I will be drinking that an more in the future, I am an adult I can do what ever I want to. HA!! Now if things were as they should I would like to be out at the pot holes reservoir http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potholes_Reservoir fishing for chrome trout fresh out of the hatchery or if I am lucky some good ol' perch they are fun to catch. http://www.parks.wa.gov/parks/?selectedpark=Potholes is where we went the first time. It was 1974 and we had just gotten a brand spankin' new Tioga motor home with a 360 automatic that would hold 6 people from Baydo's trailer sales in down town Kennewick on avenue C. You know the good ol' boy's they did a fine job of setting us up with a nice motor trailer with all the amenities, a in house crapper and genuine propane stove with a full sized fridge. The unit got all decked out via JC penny's and Montgomery wards. With a few incidentals from Earnst hardware. I loved dreaming of the day we would get the buggy on the road and spent some of my hard earned money on a John Denver 8 track tape for road music on our adventure. Our first trip on the year and maiden voyage of the new Green and lime trimmed white Tioga was to the pothole's to catch trout on the season opener. We were all decked out with worms, corn and Meps lures.  We stopped by the old Thrifty market for the small Miller bears in the tiny 8 ox. bottles for mom and grandma to sip on when they reached the shores and some NeHi sodas for me. Walt my step grandfather was a cheap booze in the 5th type guy that would wipe him out in one or two shooters and ice. When it came to fishing though the old Polock knew how to catch fish. He would always be the first one to hook something even if it was a "trash" fish. The old pole caught the first fish alright and it wasn't the trout that was bragged about for weeks leading up to the trip but PERCH, the trash fish and they wouldn't stay off the hook. When my mom was growing up and my Grandpa Berggy would hang out at the Tri city yacht club my mom would catch sun fish crappy and perch off the dock while Berggy would throw back some gin and tonic's.  They were the most fun fish for my mom to catch and catch them she did at the pot holes reservoir we had a large ice chest full by the end of the weekend and being on a limited income it was a welcome addition to the freezer. We skinned and filleted all the fish and put the Caracas in two five gallon buckets, the flesh fillets we bagged and sealed for freezing. But the hylight was the battering a deep frying of a full platter of fried potato's and those perch fillets. The weather was spring a blustery afternoon, rain in the evening, bright sun breaks threw out the day. It was an adventure, my first motorcoaching, fishing and desert living. I go back on occasions and of late I would long to go.........soon hopefully sooon

Some day's you?

There are some day's you feel just outside the shitter. Well today is one of those day's for me. I feel outside, removed. I shouldn't I got all excited and mixes up the Amish friendship bread brew that still has four day's till it's done and proceeded to go forth and make some dog cookies. Yes, I know cookies are cookies but I was watching Garden fork on youtube and they made dog cookies with a baked sweet potato. They were easy to make a cup of this a cup of that so I say's to myself that I need to make some. I did they came out great, I used a can of yam's that had been in the pantry for a few years but was not out of date. I had gone to the food bank one day to take my daughter, My friend runs it but isn't the manager. She had asked me once before to come in and volunteer a bit of time and I had but not a lot. My daughter got into a bit of trouble for having a cell phone in class or the hall or some silly thing that children will do in the age of not being able to live life without doing something or talking all the time. I decided and her mom had no say that the day's she was suspended from school she would be at the food bank working and she did like a champ, she woke up early and went in with me to work and my friend said she enjoyed it. On the last day there were to many things in the trough that couldn't be used. One big tub of cans that were bent and dent, due to the risk of someone being sued they couldn't be given out to the patron's. I took all that was offered. I have spent enough time to understand what could be safe and what couldn't and assume the risk. The can's that were questionable I would make up a soup for the turkey. Now without a turkey or anything else the extras were disposed of and it wasn't much a few cans that were left. Anyway the cookies came out good, very taste almost as if they were people food and they could be if I had added a little honey or agave. But like anything I make or cook or wish to share with the tribe it isn't appreciated. It is looked down on because it didn't come from a clown head or from under the golden arches. I will be glad to get into a place were my space is mine and there will be no one to answer too.

Bit o'Ruckus

Bit of a ruckus across the state in the Seattle area last evening 1 May 13, looks like the Anarchists were doing their bit to say hey no immigration limitation or legislation. They are met with many a new challenge's in destructive protesting, Seems the Seattle police department has their own bag of tricks, new tactic's that scared the on air news casters to the after life a few seconds at a time. Watching the sedate but yet violent tactics on both sides still doesn't make one or the other right just doing what the feel is for the better good. I was at the WTO riots and I do mean riots in 1999 out on the streets, I wasn't a police office or protester, I had gone over to make some quick high paying cash doing a custom carpentry job. while staying at my uncle denny's I got a call from an old employer looking for me. He wanted to know if my uncle could reach me and relay that he had three day's of work for me if I wanted it as downtown security for a few of the more affluent customers his firm contracted with. Being I was right there in town,I took the job, I was there anyway and had the custom cabinets well on the way to completion. In those early day's of protest there were a lot of violent and aggressive protesters. With molitovs being served up by masked bandit's. I had no feeling for the cause or the why of the protests, I didn't care who the protesters where. I took my job seriously and tried my best to keep the property's I was working with from the least amount of damage I could. Being a aggressive type of person and seeing that the situation would be getting worse as the day progressed there was little to do but wait the day's out. I kept most away, made sure the plywood was fastened steady and moved along from place to place in what seemed a tiring and endless circle. I watched many get arrested, watched boots to ribs and clashes that were provocateur and punisher, many received what they had coming to them on both sides there were no innocent's in this political battle.
I watched the movers and shakers who did show up not have a clue  or understanding of what was going on, who wanted or didn't want. They had their head up their...s and were only concerned with what someone else was going to do. Without question watching last night the bicycle brigade was effective but no affective as could be if horses were used. Pepper spray was used, flash bangs were used. As in previous skirmishes scare and disperse as apposed to tear gas and sheer force. A wall of bicycles is no match for a large crowd, a large horse is more of a match to move people but in today's budgets horses are no longer in the mix. Too expensive to keep, too costly to train and feed. We have become a society of city people in the city you would expect that. But dammit this is still the Northwest the farthest west in the United States you can go an by god damn they should have  horses for crowd control. They did in 99 and in 13 they had bicycles pshhhtt..
I took the job in 99 and don't feel bad, I watched and learned and now I see and know not to take a job like that again. Unless they start paying by the head Dead or Alive for protesters and looters.
Have a great day in the snow or shine
